"You don't have anything if you don't have hope"

ENCOURAGEMENT UNLIMITED, INC. is a 501C3 charitable organization founded in 2002 by John Leonard Harris as a public service to help people from all walks of life.  The organization provides programs and services for individuals and organizations in order to move past barriers and toward success.

Our pillars are:

PROGRAMS  - We look to "fill in the gaps" and provide programming that truly meets the needs of individuals, families and the community.

PARTNERSHIPS - We realize that we do not have to "reinvent the wheel."  We look for organizations that need the help that we can provide and believe what we believe.  We look forward to working with organizations that want to make a difference!

POSTCARDS - We believe in the "power of encouragement" and offer encouragement through our postcards to people all across the country.  We always offer postcards to those who want to "join the army of encouragers" and will send encouragement to those in their sphere of influence.

OUR LOSS IS HEAVENS GAIN!

Encouragement Unlimited has lost a great partner in  encouragement with the death of our friend Twyla Hill to pancreatic cancer on September 6, 2016.

We will be looking to raise funds to offer a $500 scholarship in the name of Twyla Hill to a nursing school in the area.

ENCOURAGEMENT PARTNERS WITH

BRIDGES OF HOPE TO HELP INMATES

Bridges to Hope seeks to accompany former offenders while they are moving out of the correctional institutions and into the community.

Bridges to Hope is a service to men and women who have been released from prison and are making the transition to a productive life outside of prison. A first step back into the community requires a place to live and items to set up an apartment. Bridges to Hope provides basic household furnishings at no cost to our partners. Another requirement is to find employment. Donated clothing assists our partners by providing appropriate clothing to seek and maintain jobs. Hygiene items are also available.

According to the Nebraska Department of Corrections, the current inmate population as of July 29th, 2015 was 5,118. In 2014 it was reported that 2,985 men and women were released. With the support of our community members and generous donors, Bridges to Hope was able to provide services to 504 of those men and women. Through collaboration with other community agencies, we are also able to offer additional resources and make referrals to other support systems in the community.
